Bistro on the Beach, Solent Promenade

Our 'local' restaurant / café just a short stroll along the promenade from BreakPoint. Found  nestled between the beach huts and below the slopes off Southbourne Coast Road, right on the promenade, all tables have stunning sea views.  Delicious seafood, salads or meat dishes are on the menu, freshly prepared and served to a very high standard using locally sourced produce.  A great venue for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or just snacks.

Lifeguard Station in front, patrolling the Blue Flag beach. Ice-creams sold next door!

Beach House, Mudeford Spit

Situated on the sand spit of Hengistbury Head, the Beach House café offers panoramic views across Christchurch harbour. Accessible only by boat, land train or foot, it is open throughout the summer months and school holidays. We like its wood-fired pizzas on the water’s edge (and the ice creams served next door).

Super family friendly restaurant with decent children’s menu.
